Mr. DeFelice has over 30 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing ownership, operations, sales and service.

He is former owner of a precision screw machine products company, helped found O-A, Inc. and operated his own Washington, DC-based international security firm. Mr. DeFelice began his technical sales career in the mid-1960s, moving into aerospace/defense products in the mid-1970s. A former New York Jets professional football player, Mr. DeFelice also founded Oxford Polymers, a rapidly growing compounder of engineering plastics in 1988. Mr. DeFelice continues to personally serve key accounts including Sikorsky Aircraft and GKN Aerospace.

A Derby native, Mr. DeFelice was Southern Connecticut State University’s first professional football player and was inducted into Southern’s Alumni Sports Hall of Fame. He earned All Valley and All State recognition for Derby’s Red Raiders. As a three year varsity performer for Southern, he captained the Owls 1960 squad and received All New England and Little All-American Honors.

After graduating from Southern in 1961, he played with Ansonia Knights, Hartford Charter Oaks, in the Atlantic Football Conference. Mr. DeFelice played two seasons for the New York Jets and was then traded to the Miami Dolphins.

He was Assistant Coach at Mattatuck Community College for two years and Assistant Coach at Xavier High School for nine years.

Mr. DeFelice completed his playing career for the Hartford Knights in the Atlantic Football Conference, where he captained the Knights and also made all pro the last four years of his career.
